Every year, the Kobe Chrysanthemum Exhibition takes place at Sorakuen Garden from late October to early November and I didn't know about it last year, so I definitely was not going to miss out on it this year. The garden is about a five minute walk from Kenchomae Station (just take Exit 2) and I got there right as it opened. Thankfully, I was one of the first ones to go in after paying a small fee of 300 yen and was able to enjoy the beautiful garden and the wide variety of flowers that were on display for people to view.
It was incredibly calming and relaxing to walk around in the crisp morning air with only the sounds of trickling water and footsteps on the gravel. I hope you enjoy the pictures! :)
Kodera Stable was built around 1910 for Kenichi Kodera, a former mayor of Kobe and also housed some chrysanthemum flowers inside as well.
Originally standing in the Kitano area of Kobe, the Hassam House was built in the early 1900s, but later moved to Sorakuen as a donation to the government.
Exiting the tea house and wandering off to go look at the beautiful flowers
Can you see Port Tower?? :D :D
Enjoying a cup of tea and some sweets while taking in the surrounding flowers :)
Waiting in line to get their free pot of flower.
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a wonderful week! :)
